New Journey

Wow! What a  busy few months.   I have been working  steady on commissions that I hope to complete by the end of November.  Then I will start my Window painting  for local Businesses for the Holidays which will be great fun. I always love the Christmas Window Splash.  Thrilled that some of my art work was being exhibited in venues in Northbay, Ontario  through the Consolidated Artist Group of 7s. Part of the La Vase portage Exhibit at the Northbay-Mattawa Coservation Authority for the month of October and will be soon be  at Art on Main, North Bay , ON  during  the Month of November. Other news....well I   found out that one of my drawings was selected to be published in Ann Kullberg's  CP Hidden Treasures II,  which is a collection of works by international color pencil artists. Undeniably I was thrilled.

I have been doing some workshops at the local school which was great fun  and  soon plan to go back to school myself.

I will  be embarking on a new journey. I was accepted into the Art Therapy program   offered through the Toronto Art Therapy Institute  accredited with the Canadian Art Therapy Association. I was interested over a year ago but was looking for a program I could do, for the most part at home.  I used art as my own form of therapy after a bout with illness and  it helped me tremendously in my ability to cope.  So fitting, that as an artist and former physiotherapist, I would be attracted to this program. As luck would have it...they had  just started their distance learning program and  I am in..   Perfect. It will be a challenge as I have been out of the school environment for ..let's just say a "few" years... suffice it to say, I can now share experiences with my children who are young adults attending University and College.  I am excited but a little anxious about the work load as it is a full time program, but I love a challenge so bring it on....well not too much.
My Journey

I will continue to teach some art classes as well next year  and have started working on a line of jewellery , starting with hand painted bangles.  I will continue to do some commission work  and working on some original pieces for exhibition. So many ideas ...so much to do. Love it!!!!!!
