Pieced Together : Collage Study

Pieced Together:Collage Study was done in Coloured pencil with some acrylic highlights and some addition of  Rice paper  through collaging. Designed to look like cut pieces creating a look of a very obvious collage. This is based on an original watercolour collage that I previously did. In my previous painting I did in fact cut up a loosely based watercolour and collage to a  another watercolour background and then preceded to collage further with rice paper and acrylic highlights. In this particular piece I drew the images as such in colour pencil  and attempted to recreate the look of the collage. I did add some acrylic highlights and some rice paper threads were added at the beginning and at the end.

Window Painting

Mark the Holiday season with a Window Splash. Great for businesses . Each window can be  customized. I once did a snowmobile Splash for a Polaris dealership. I am presently painting my windows at the Studio and I will post the works in progress. For now this is a Splash I did for  a local business here in Temiscaming.

Acrylic Painting "Unwavering"

My paintings are uniquely designed to capture the intricate details, the hidden mystique as well as the vibrant colors we witness in nature. This particular work of art represents the "unwavering"gaze of a bird of prey. I chose to portray this with very bold colors using acrylics applied with both brush and  palette knife. I used gestural strokes to convey boldness and strength as well as creating a beautiful mix of colors and adding a strong textural element to the painting . Detailed strokes created the light and reflections in the eye , a focal point of  "Unwavering" . This painting signifies strength, boldness and a stillness... as the bird seeks it's prey

Journey into the Blog : An Artist's Journal

I won't be the first to blog and I won't be the last. As it is late I will just post some updates: My studio is open now Tuesdays  10-4:30, Wednesdays  10-4:30 and Thursdays 1-3 and 6-9.

Plenty of Art work for sale, Fine Art Pendants, Fine art cards for all occasions and soon Holly Berry Christmas ornaments will be available for the Holiday season.

Adult art session is going very well ,two classes remaining. I will be starting a 4 week art session for ages 8-14. Starting  November 20th. Registration is required.
